Delete Your RaceZen Account

You can permanently delete a RaceZen account in the app or request deletion by email. Account deletion is free.

Delete Your Account in the App

Sign in to the RaceZen User App or RaceZen race-management app, open Account, then open Privacy and sharing. Select Delete account, review the affected sharing and guardian relationships, and confirm Delete permanently. The device must be online to complete cloud deletion.

Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot sign in, email privacy@racezen.app from the email address associated with the account. Use the subject "Delete my RaceZen account" and include the name and country on the account. Do not send passwords, passkeys, payment-card details, medical notes, or identity documents unless RaceZen specifically requests information needed to verify the request.

RaceZen will confirm receipt, verify that the requester controls the account, and complete a valid request without undue delay. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days. We will explain any lawful extension or information that must be retained.

Delete Data Without an Account

The User App and race-management app can create device-scoped cloud data without a signed-in account. Open Account, then Privacy and sharing, and select Delete my data. This requests deletion of cloud device state, diagnostics, telemetry, diagnostic replay files, and sign-on data associated with that device identifier where deletion is permitted.

What Account Deletion Removes

Account deletion removes the cloud account and its authentication relationship and requests a purge of personal cloud data controlled by RaceZen. It also ends active account shares, group memberships, public share links, and guardian relationships associated with the deleted account.

Local profiles, settings, tracks, photographs, videos, downloaded files, and cached data may remain on a phone, tablet, browser, race device, or computer. Remove those items with the app or device controls. A passkey may remain in an Apple, Google, or other credential manager and can be removed from that provider's password or passkey settings.

Information That May Be Retained

Deletion does not require a club or event organiser to erase records it independently controls. Official results, entries, sign-on and safety records, protests, moderation evidence, payment or transaction records, and copies already shared to an event, group, guardian, or other person may be retained when needed for event integrity, safety, fraud prevention, accounting, disputes, or law.

RaceZen may retain limited consent, deletion, security, and audit records to demonstrate the request and protect the service. Backups and cached copies expire on their normal rotation.

Sailing tracks and telemetry associated with a deleted account are de-identified rather than erased, where it is lawful to do so, and the de-identified records are kept indefinitely for product, safety, research, and development purposes. Those records no longer identify you and are not linked back to your account. If you need information that still identifies you erased rather than de-identified, say so in your request and we will act on it where the law requires.
